Charrua wins ProTour #1

The very first Icelandic Pro Tour was held yesterday in Keflavik, Iceland. The Pro tour  consists of 9 events and will give players ranking points with the top player qualifying for the Icelandic Darts Premier League.

Vitor stormed through is QF match against Þórólfur Sæmundsson 3-1 in 14, 18, and 22 darts hitting two 140´s and a 180 with an average of 74.1. In the semi final he averaged 84.1 in a 3-1 win over Hallgrímur Egilsson which was the game of the night. Halli Egils averaged 86.1, hit two 180´s and checked out 122 on D7 but Vitor won the game in a cheeky way hitting the bullseye with his first dart!

His opponent in the final was Matthías Örn Friðriksson. Matthías averaged 71.7 in his QF win over Garðar Magnússon and beat Pétur Rúðrik Guðmundsson 3-1 in the semi final where both players struggled.

Matthías started better in the final winning the first two legs with back to back 15 darters but Vitor came back in 18 and 19 darts to level things 2-2. Matthías took the lead again with a 60 checkout but missed 6 match darts in the next 2 legs to allow Vitor to win 4-3. Matthías averaged 81.4 but Vitor 75.5

With the win, Vitor picks up 20 points and tops the overall leaderboard:
