Egilsson wins the 2018 Icelandic Darts Pro Tour

Hallgrímur Egilsson finished off the Icelandic Darts Pro Tour with a bang by winning the final Pro tour of the season. He beat Vitor Charrua 4-1 in the final to pick up his 4th Pro Tour title of the season.

Before the event it came down to 2 players having the chance of winning the 2018 Pro tour. Egilsson was in first place with 102 points but trailing just behind was Matthías Örn Friðriksson on 100 points. Friðriksson needed only to finish above Egilsson in the event to win and qualify for the Icelandic Darts Premier League.

A total of 12 players entered yesterday´s final event that was held in Keflavík, Iceland. Egilsson and Friðriksson were drawn together in the first round and it was Egilsson who was too strong, winning 3-1 with a 76,7 average. Friðriksson did not qualify for the Premier League through the Pro Tour and now has to hope for a wildcard pick from Live Darts Iceland but they have 3 wildcards to complete the 8 man line up.
